Hear the 3-Over-2
Feel
Notice how Part 1 plays six equal sounds
throughout the measure, while Part 2 plays four equal sounds
in the same measure. This rhythmic relationship is called
the "3-over-2 feel" (also called the "2-over-3
feel"). It is an important concept in West African rhythmic
textures.
