Proofreading Tips:
Always proofread a paper copy of your document if
possible. You can spot errors more easily on paper than on a computer
screen.
Look for misspelled words, words out of order or
repeated, and incorrect grammar and punctuation.
Read the material aloud slowly. Pronounce exactly
what you see.
Place a ruler under each line.
Directions: Use the tips above to help you
find the mistakes in the sentences below. We italicized some of the mistakes,
but we could not italicize them all.
