Visit this site by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to learn all about dams in the western United States and their associated reservoirs. Click on any western state to see a map of the state labeled with the dams found in that state. Then click on a dam name to learn more about that dam and its reservoir. For example, you can click on the state of Nevada, then on Hoover Dam to find out the name of the reservoir impounded by the dam. What is the purpose of Hoover Dam?
