Module 4: Current Thoughts
A Study of Electricity and Magnetism
Description
In this module students will learn about electrical and magnetic
effects in the operation of batteries and electroplating technology,
in the generation of electrical power, and in the behavior of the
nervous system. Students will also explore how materials differ
in electrical conductivity, how electrostatic charges accumulate
and produce lightning, and how computers use electricity and magnetism
to store and transmit information.
Investigations
For each investigation, the science or sciences that form the principal
focus of that investigation are noted.
