Science Probe II Technology Activities
1. Find a site on the Internet that displays satellite images
of the Earth. Locate images that contain the area where you live. Find
images that show:
c.Biotic (living) features.
Download the images onto your computer, and use these images
in a multimedia presentation to show your classmates what you have learned
about your area.
2.Locate sites on the Internet that have images of the moon,
other planets, and comets that were taken by fly-by satellites such as
Voyager, Mariner, or Pioneer. Look for images that show the best detail
of surface features for at least five objects. Download these images onto
your computer. Use these images in a multimedia presentation to show your
classmates what you have learned. Below is a web site to get you started:

Activity 2B – Use a spreadsheet program
to make the data table as directed in this activity. Record the data in
the spreadsheet as you perform the activity. Print the final spreadsheet
data table, and secure it in your SCIENCE PROBE Logbook where you will
answer the discussion questions.
