Introduction

In this chapter students have studied the countries of Caribbean and eastern South America. Students will research one of those countries, Paraguay, in more detail in this lesson.

Lesson Description

Students will use information from the CIA World Factbook to research additional facts about Paraguay. They will answer four questions and then create a Tourist Information Sheet.

National Geography Standards:
Standard 4: The geographically informed person knows and understands the physical and human characteristics of places. Standard 16: The geographically informed person knows and understands the characteristics, distribution, and complexity of Earth's cultural mosaic.

Instructional Objectives

  1. The student will be able to research information from an Internet source.
  2. The student will be able to create an information sheet on Paraguay with appropriate facts that would be helpful to a tourist.
