"Psychologist of the Century"

Introduction
Students have read about the present and future directions of psychology. In this exercise, students will review the contributions of psychologists to understand how the discoveries of psychology have improved our world.

Lesson Description
Students will use information from the Web site to research the history of psychology. Students will research specific psychologists to learn about methods they used, the theories they formulated, and their significant contributions to our world. Students will then answer four questions and apply this information by preparing a letter nominating their candidate for the "Psychologist of the Century" award.

Instructional Objectives
1. Students will be able to summarize the research, theories, and contributions of an important psychologist.
2. Students will be able to apply this knowledge to write a letter nominating their candidate for the "Psychologist of the Century."
