Introduction
Students have read about Mark Hanna's influence in Republican politics in the late 1800s. In this lesson, they will examine how one opposition newspaper looked critically at Hanna.

Lesson Description
Students will examine various political cartoons regarding Mark Hanna and then answer questions based on these cartoons.

Instructional Objectives
1. Students will be able to analyze political cartoons in order to answer questions about their meaning.
2. Students will be able to understand possible political motives behind cartoons by examining the newspaper from which they came.
