Students have read about President Johnson's war on poverty.
In this lesson, students will examine poverty statistics.
Lesson
Description
Students will visit the U.S. Census Bureau Web site and examine
a line graph that tracks poverty in America from the 1960s
through 1998. They will then answer questions based on the
graph.
Instructional Objective
Students will be able to interpret a line graph in order to
answer questions about it.
