Prenons le métro!

• Acquaint students with Paris monuments and museums

• Familiarize them with the Paris métro system

Notes

• In this activity, students plan a day of sight-seeing in Paris using the métro to get around. They will be typing in their stations de départ and stations d'arrivée at the RATP Web site. Remind them that they'll start out their day from their hotel near the Denfert-Rochereau station, but they won't be leaving from that station each time they "get back on the métro."
  
  
• Please note that the worksheet for this activity may take a few minutes longer to download from the Internet and print.

• If students are able to download the photos and print them out, display the photos of the Paris monuments and museums in the classroom. Have students explain to the class why they wanted to visit the three monuments they chose. You could also take a poll to see which monuments were the "most visited."
