You have learned about emergency services and hospitals in Chapitre 8. In this activity you will learn about some French medical services. You will also read in French about premiers secours—how to respond to an emergency situation.

Visit the Secourisme (Click on Premiers Gestes) and Croix-Rouge Web sites. Choose an emergency situation and read carefully the directions on what to do in that emergency situation. Answer the questions on your worksheet. Remember that in a real emergency situation if you are unsure of what to do, in the U.S. you should call 911.
