Objective
- Identify
the countries of the Hispanic world, their main
cities, rivers, mountains, the surrounding countries
and bodies of water and locate them on a map
Notes
- This
is a preparatory activity for the Chapter 1
Internet activity.
- If
Internet access is limited in your school, you
can do this activity in class using the maps
on pages 473-475 of your textbook.
(Texas Ed. pages 505-507; 1A Ed. pages 245-247;
Texas Ed. 1A, pages 263-265).
- You
may require students to work on only one map
from this activity; however, they should feel
free to work on two or all three maps of the
Hispanic world provided for this activity.
Expansion
- In
connection with this activity, you can teach
your students the Spanish terms for such geographical
features as river, ocean, island,
etc.
