Task
- First, use the Internet to research the Punnett Square and its role in genetics. Then you will do some practice problems using a Punnett Square. Collect and record some specific genetics related information about pets. Analyze and calculate different statistics based on your data.

1a. Use the Internet; find the definition of the following words: alleles, dominant, genotype, heterozygous, homozygous, phenotype, Punnett Square, and recessive.
Locate and read different descriptions of the Punnett Square on the Internet. Find four different problems on the Internet that are solved using a Punnett Square. Print these four problems and then solve each problem.
1b. Next create sample genes for pet traits. Make a table for 4 different pets and possible characteristics of each pet.
1c. Write a 1-2 paragraph response describing how the Punnett Square is used in genetics and how math is involved with the Punnett Square.
2. Create a poster board containing information about the data you have gathered about genetics and pet traits. Include a table displaying your data.
